One of the top free language learning apps, and my personal favorite, Duolingo has over 300 million users worldwide. As of 31 May 2020, Duolingo offers 35 language courses in English. 

Duolingo helps its users learn a language through pictures, texts, and audio. This easy to use app works well through the website as well as the mobile app available both for IOS and android.

Yet another free platform for language learning, Memrise is a go-to place for a fun vocabulary practice. Courses are often coupled with memes designed to playfully help remember the vocabulary

It uses spaced repetition to speed up the language learning process. With thousands of video clips of native speakers, it can help you understand authentic voices and accents.

With more than 100 million registered users, Busuu is an interactive app offering 12 different language-courses. Users can learn through self-paced lessons as well as interact with native speakers worldwide.
