Nepal is going to play first ODI series with the Netherlands on August 1 and August 3 which is announced by KNCB (Netherlands Cricket Board). Nepal will play two matches at Voorburg CC, and VRA Ground in the Amsterdam suburb of Amstelveen. This will be the first ODI in Nepal’s history after secured ODI status by taking eighth place. The Netherlands already got ODI status but they lost ODI status at the World Cup Qualifier in New Zealand. They retake ODI status in the 2015-2017 Championship.
This series is going to be a fantastic for both countries as it will be first ODI since 2014 for the Netherlands and the first ever for Nepal. These games also present the new talents from Nepalese youngster. Both teams are strong as compare to each other. They played very well in the just ended match in England.
But in this pitch, there will be difficulties for Nepalese player especially for Batsman because the pitch will favor for the fast bowling. Nepal should play very carefully with the bats. The breakdown of the partnership is the main problem for Nepal and this will be the problem again. Firstly the top order batsman must play by saving wicket rather than to score the run. And the main key bowler must take responsibility to take breakthrough.
